I recently went with my Father on a trip to Missouri to the area he was born - Buffalo, Missouri. One place he went to as a child was Bennett Springs and wanted to return there some 70 some years later. I had no idea what this place was and soon found out It is also a trout farm/hatchery. The big thing there is fly fishing - you buy a permit to fish and people did seem to be catching fish. You can also buy fish food and feed the trout in the hatchery area. I thought it would not be too exciting but I really enjoyed the experience! There are also cabins, motels and campsites in the area offering swimming and canoeing.
