The trip out to Death Valley I will remember forever.  We hit all the great spots; sand dunes, salt flats, mountains, canyons, and even a waterfall, thats right even a waterfall(s).  I couldn't believe in an area that has 120 degree summers can have a remote oasis tuck into the western side.  I had a blast out at Darwen Falls, did some rock climbing, took a dip in the chilly mountain water.  We started this adventure in a dried wash, followed a little creek into a huge grass land, the sound of gushing watering grows as we get further in the marsh.  Hopping over a few little creeks we arrived at the bottom of Darwen Falls (1).   Last century a ladder could have been use to allow visitors to climb up the fall to access several other falls located behind the first fall.  Currently the path is only open to experienced rock climbers and brave individuals who will navigate the steep rocks to locate the next fall.  There are no markers or ropes, so please don't attempt with out the proper shoes and equipment. 

So when you are out in Death Valley, and the heat is getting to you head to the oasis for a dip!!
