Kings Canyon is certainly a park where just driving on the main road can keep you in awe and make the trip in an excellent time. The drive is full of mountain, canyon, river, and waterfall views throughout. The road itself is almost 40 miles long, and you feel like you seen it all. The truth is, the park is just beginning. At the roads end is where the backpacking country begins, and is there a lot of it.
