    Lodging information for Sequoia National Park:

    Wuksachi Lodge (Delaware North Park Services) is open all year round. You can make your reservations online (http://www.visitsequoia.com/). You can also make reservation on the phone: 1-888-252-5757.

     

    The Wuksachi Lodge is 4 miles from Sequoia National Park and 23 miles from Giant Forest to Sequoia Park entrance. There are modern hotel rooms in several lodge buildings. They also have restaurants and a gift shop. In winter, you are least likely to encounter road closures enroute to Wuksachi, if you enter the park via Highway 198.

     

    Lodging information for Kings Canyon Park:

    Grant Grove Cabins and John Muir Lodge are open all year round. You can make reservations online (http://www.sequoia-kingscanyon.com/) or you can call 1-866-522-6966 and make your reservations over the phone.

    John Muir Lodge has the modern room comfort. In summer, rustic and housekeeping cabins are available, all in the Grant Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park, which is 1/2-mile to a sequoia grove. There is a visitor center, markets, restaurants, a gift shop, and a post office nearby. In winter, you are least likely to encounter road closures enroute to Grant Grove if you enter the park on Highway 180.

    Cedar Grove Lodge is also located in the Kings Canyon. They open late April and sty open until mid-October. You can make reservations online (http://www.sequoia-kingscanyon.com/) or call 1-866-522-6966 to make reservations over the phone.

    The rooms in Cedar Grove Village are deep in the canyon of the Kings Canyon itself. They have a counter-service restaurant, market and gift shop in building.

    Where to eat while visiting Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park?

    In the parks food is available in restaurants or small markets, depending on season and location. Hours vary by season.

    Year-Round the Wuksachi Village does have a dining Room. There are limited food items in gift shop during winter season. Grant Grove Village also has a restaurant, market and post office. The Montecito-Sequoia Lodge (in the National Forest between Wuksachi and Grant Grove) also has a restaurant.

    Late spring into fall; Where to eat?

     

    The Lodgepole Village has a snack bar, deli, and market. They are usually open until mid-October and then closed until mid-April. The Wolverton Meadows during the summer has an all-you-can-eat barbecue; Friday-Sunday (dinner only). Cedar Grove Village has a restaurant (counter service & snack bar) and market open mid-to-late May until mid-October. The Mineral King, Silver City Resort, on private land, has a small restaurant and limited supplies from late May until mid-October.

    Just outside the Sequoia National Park entrance on Highway 198, there are a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, and gas stations.

    Shops with a limited variety of basic food supplies and with souvenirs, film, and similar items are available at:
      -Grant Grove Village: Year-round, separate market and gift shop.
      -Lodgepole Village: Spring through fall, market/gift shop.
      -Cedar Grove Village: Spring through fall, market/gift shop.
      -Wuksachi Village: Year-round gifts and souvenirs.

    There are Limited food items in winter.

    There are two post offices in the parks. Outside Sequoia Park, about seven miles west of the entrance on Hwy 198 at Ash Mountain is the Three Rivers Post Office.

    At Lodgepole Village:
    The Post Office is located behind the main Lodgepole Visitor Center and Market. Hours are weekdays 8am-1pm & 2-4pm. 559-565-3678. Lobby with stamp machine open 24 hours. Address mail to visitors: c/o General Delivery, Sequoia National Park, CA 93262.

    At Grant Grove Village:
    The Post Office is north of the visitor center and gift shop in the same building as the market. Hours vary. Lobby & stamp machine 24 hours. Address visitor mail: c/o General Delivery, Kings Canyon NP, CA 93633. 1-559-335-2499.

    Be sure that your tank is full before you enter the parks. No gas is sold within park boundaries.

    The closest gas stations to the Sequoia National Park entrance on Highway 198 are in the town of Three Rivers. 

    The closest gas stations to the Kings Canyon National Park entrance on Highway 180 are along the highway.

    Gasoline is also sold on neighboring Forest Service lands. It is available all year at Hume Lake, 11 miles north of Grant Grove Village off Hwy 180.

    From late spring into fall, there are two other options: Stony Creek gas station is open between Lodgepole and Grant Grove on the Generals Highway (Check the park newspaper for current hours or call 1-866-KCANYON or 1-559-565-3909). Kings Canyon Lodge is on Hwy 180 between Grant Grove and Cedar Grove. Call for hours of service:  1-559-225-2405.
