With the closing of the Dem Convention lauded and loved by all journalists all the time without apology, comes the beginning of the GOP convention. As we know that the GOP is hated by most journalists, I thought I'd diverge from the political for a breath of fresh air, and take us hiking.
Since the journalists will be putting such a spin on the convention that we won't really know what happened at all without being there, you might want to spend your evenings actually watching footage of, or attending the GOP convention in order to keep up. And, that will keep your days open to hike the Mississippi Gorge Trail in Minneapolis, the home of the GOP Convention.
As always, if you have any photos from this trail area, feel free to post them.

Hike along this pleasant urban trail that follows the bluffs along part of the definitive river system in North America. Pass one of the steepest and deepest sections of the Mississippi and visit one of the rarest native plant communities in Minnesota. Almost every park in this region is tied to the Mississippi River, either geologically, historically, or both.
