Wendy couldn't dive because of her health (one week before our trip she was in shock trauma with a collapsed lung, a cracked sternum, cracked ribs and a concussion), but she was able to snorkel on the surface of the water.

There are plenty of casas in Sayulita. But we agree with our friend who said, after arriving at the Casa Mar del Sur before we did and greeting us at the door, "You have the best house in Sayulita!"

This picture was taken after 4-wheeling up the cobble-stoned street of Heart Attack Hill behind our casa. We found out, after returning home, that two people were killed two years ago coming down that same street on their 4-wheeler.

Dusty streets of Sayulita, Mexico will never be paved if the town officials have their way. They understand that the streets are a big part of the charm of Sayulita.

Not a lot going on right now although we were awakened each morning by the school children practicing their musical instruments for a holiday celebration. They left the school grounds and walked through Sayulita as they practiced. We were also entertained by the music blaring from the "mattress truck" that drove past our casa each day.
