This view is from Dead Horse Point Rd just north of Dead Horse Point State Park near Moab Utah. It looks over "The Fins" to the LaSalle Mountain Range that almost straddles the western Colorado border south of Grand Junction. This photo is a perfect example of the geographic diversity one experiences in almost any direction one looks when visiting Utah. This photo could just as easily have been PhotoShopped to include the entrada red high plateau in the foreground, the fin structures in the middle, and the high alpine in the background. But, these are the environs of Moab.
I shot this on the fly while driving a jeep across this rough section of road and noticed this diverse view right before reaching the end of the trail and turning left (north). So, I took it without the CP filter. So, these colors are true; just what the human eye sees. Amazing color. Can't see this from the fringes of Chicago!
